QUOTE OF THE DAY: “WITHOUT VISION THERE IS NO CONSCIOUSNESS OF DESTINY”

Memory Verse: “Yet when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, for I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!” 1 Corinthians 9:16.

Vision is the compass by which champions plot their way through life. The sufferings, pains and disciplines of the present would be absolutely meaningless without a clear picture of the future. It is God’s own way of showing us the preferred alternative to where we are. Vision is usually God’s response to crisis in the history of human existence. For instance, in Exodus 3:7-10, when God finally made up His mind to deliver the children of Israel from their Egyptian cruel task masters, He gave Moses a vision.

When God deemed it fit to rebuild the fallen wall of Jerusalem, He envisioned Nehemiah. The solution to every logjam in life is a compelling vision. All problem solvers were and are visioners. If you can recall, the solution to the gruesome killing of twins in Africa was proferred by the passion – driven vision of Mary Slessor.

Furthermore, it is vision that establishes the platform of your relevance to humanity. For example, the vision of ‘a flying object’ caught and pursued by Orville and Wilbur Wright brought about the first aircraft in December 17, 1903. This remarkable feat registered them among those eminent human beings who have impacted this world positively.

Have you lost your vision? Catch another one! Is yours fading away? Re-ignite it. You must constantly be pursuing something. Otherwise, you may lose your relevance. Receive grace to maintain focus. God bless you.

• Heavenly Father, make my vision clearer, let my focus be sharper so I can hit the target.
• Oh Lord, grant me grace to live a meaningful life. Let my relevance be known to all.
• Make me a problem solver today, empower me with the grace of solving problems.
• Heal my blindness; my eyes be opened now to problems around me waiting for solution in Jesus name.
