IMPATIENCE ASSASSINATES DESTINY

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “PRESSURE IS INEVITABLE WHEN WE RUN AHEAD OF GOD”

Memory Verse: “People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction”. 1 Timothy 6:9.

One of those things that plague this generation is the desire to get it fast. This plague has sent many to their untimely grave. It is has crippled the destiny of some, while some who started well have abruptly lost their focus, and veered into wrong tracks. Everybody wants to get there as fast as possible but they have forgotten that to be too swift is as untimely as to be too slow. The situation that seems urgent is seldom. Haste slows every dream and opens the door to mistakes, exploitation and failure; the more the haste, the less the speed.

My question is; of what good is running if you are headed in the wrong direction? According to 1 Samuel 13:1-15, it was Saul’s impatience that crashed his destiny. Similarly, were it not for God’s mercy and intervention, the Prodigal son almost injured his life by prematurely demanding for independence.

Impatience is one of the proofs that one does not believe in God. It is important to know where you are going than to see how fast you can get there. In life, there is a time to let things happen and a time to make things happen. Unnecessary haste not only puts you under pressure, it also makes you run faster than God, and that ultimately results in disaster.
Life is in season, which means we are to do different things at different times. Always listen to God before you take a step. [pullquote]…of what good is running if you are headed in the wrong direction?[/pullquote]Never remain where God has not sent you. Walking in the pace of God helps you to establish on the proper foundation. Nothing is permanent unless built on God’s will and Word. Your pressures are over. You will not crash. Stay lifted!
