QUOTE OF THE DAY: “YOUR FUTURE IS EMBEDDED IN WHAT YOU INVEST TODAY”
Memory Verse: “Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it again”. Ecclesiastes 11:1.
What is investment? Investment is anything that is meant to reproduce itself either in cash or in kind. It is only investment that brings refreshment. You can never be refreshed above what you are able to invest into life. This is one of the secrets of wealthy people in the world today. An entrepreneur looks for what to invest, but a consumer looks for what to consume. What a mindset difference! This is the reason an investor will forever be a boss over a consumer and a consumer will forever serve an investor except there is a change of mindset.
Where there is no investment, there will be nothing to bequeath to one’s children or generation coming behind. ‘A good man leaves inheritance for his children’ Proverbs 13:22. To fail to invest, especially now is to watch your future shrink before your very eyes. The future you cannot create you cannot have, because to invest is to create a future for yourself.
[pullquote]You can never be refreshed above what you are able to invest into life.[/pullquote]Except you have an entrepreneurial mindset, it may be difficult or out-rightly impossible to break even, not even with your monthly salary. If you observe what goes on around you, you will discover that individuals, religious organizations and some corporate bodies are now investing into properties, schools, stocks, training and human capital development. Look inward, there are things you can invest. No one is empty. Invest in yourself, invest in education, invest in stocks, invest in landed properties, or build event centres for public use.
Invest your money, time, talents, what you are, where you are and whom you are. Always think more of the future. Remember, where there is no investment the future will be empty. God bless you!
