QUOTE OF THE DAY: “EVERY BATTLE IS ALWAYS OVER YOUR FUTURE, NOT YOUR PAST”

Memory Verse: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past”. Isaiah 43:18.

God never brings up people’s past against them. He said in Isaiah 43:25 ‘I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions…and remembers your sins no more’. It is Satan that does, all he can do is resurrecting old memories and rearranges old pictures in an attempt to discourage you. If Satan is dragging up your past it is because he has nothing new to attack you with. God has for long-forgiven some people but they are still held down by memories of their ugly past and their inability to forgive themselves. What a pity! It is your future that Satan dreads. Your enemies get threatened by the glorious future ahead of you.

[pullquote]If Satan is dragging up your past it is because he has nothing new to attack you with.[/pullquote]This is the reason he attempted wiping out Moses and Jesus Christ through a jaundiced decree promulgated by Pharaoh and Herod that all infants be killed. Once your sins are forgiven, nobody has moral justification or qualification whatsoever to bring it up against you. It is settled and final.

Satan brings up your past so as to deplete your physical and mental energy, and hence render you psychologically imbalance, thus preventing you from actualizing your future. But you can overcome the past and actualize the future:

•  Forgive yourself, the moment God has forgiven you. He never remembers your past.
• Focus on tomorrow: this will help you move away from today.
• Ask God to show you ministries that can come from the misery you are going through right now. He can bring healing to others through the pain you are experiencing. Finally, start looking at the joy set before you (Hebrews 12:2) and you will be able to endure the present circumstances. Today, you are discharged and acquitted from all accusations and guilts. Your mistakes are pardoned; enter into the joy of the Lord.

PROPHETIC PRAYERS

• Blood of Jesus, heal my emotional wounds and set me free from guilt.
• I break every spiritual cord tying me to my past now in Jesus name.
• I tap into the supernatural power that will make me advance forcefully.
• Today, the desires of my enemies over me shall fail in Jesus name.
