QUOTE OF THE DAY: “NO ONE IS YET AT HIS/HER BEST”

Life is a good business; it is either you get busy at it or you fizzle out from the business of life. Jesus said, in the parable of the ten servants ‘occupy till I come’ Luke 19:13. If you are idle in life, you will be stuck in the middle of life. When a man has found the purpose of his existence, the next thing is to get busy at it. If you can’t work it out, it won’t work out. There is gold in you which can only come out if you keep working on yourself. Here is an illustrative story:

Yet in the path of the planned road was a Buddhist monastery, so they had to relocate the monastery including a heavy, eleven-foot clay statue of Buddha to another place. Using a crane, the government workers moved the monastery in sections. When the workers transported the statue of Buddha to the new location and began to lower it into place, however the clay on the statue started to crumble and fall off. The people were afraid because this was a precious religious symbol to them; and they did not want it destroyed.

Yet the more the workers tried to place the statue, the more it fell apart until, eventually, all the clay fell off. Suddenly, the workers stared in amazement because, as the clay fell away, something unexpected was revealed: the statue was pure gold underneath.

Those who keep working on themselves will eventually discover and unravel the gold in them. You are not a liability, there is ability in you. You worth more than this, but if you are not busy enough or working on yourself, the skills and professionalism in you will not be revealed. Challenges keep rising every day, only those who are skillful, creative and competent will survive. So, improve on your performance by widening your knowledge base via reading, practicing, learning and necessary exposure to mention a few. Remember, if you are loaded, you will be needed. Today will be great in your life. Have a fruitful day!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “EARLY RISERS ARE EARLY ACHIEVERS”

Memory Verse: “Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn”. Psalms 57:8.

Sleep is a natural way of cooling down our tensed nerves. It rejuvenates the body. Sleep is good, but where it is too much, it eats voraciously into human destinies. Highly productive people that I know have the habit of waking up very early to tidy things up, think, organize, plan, and prepare their speech as the case may be. They know that those early hours of the day are the most productive hours, they are less busy, they are the best time to think and analyze for problem solving. This is exactly Jesus’ lifestyle while He was on earth: ‘Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed’ (Mark 1:35).

Before you begin to embark on your daily assignment, you need to begin with the necessary spiritual and mental preparations to create a necessary enabling atmosphere for its actualization and manifestation.

For instance, how old are you now probably 50, if you sleep for an average of eight hours a day. Multiply it by 365 days we have in a year this will give you 2920 hours in a year. Multiply it again by your current age. This means out of the 50 years you have spent on earth, you have slept away 146,000 hours, and by implication, you have slept away 161/2 years which means you have 331/2 years left for productive ventures.

Don’t you think, there is a need to cut down on your hours of sleep, so you can maximize the purpose of your existence? Cultivate the habit of sleeping early so you can wake up early to face the challenges ahead of you. To start with, set up the alarm of your clock to wake you up latest 5.00am. Discipline yourself to abide by it. If you do not rise up early in pursuit of your vision, then be ready to watch it fade away like pictures on the screen. Success can only answer to those who can rise up early to prepare. Today, your life will assume a brilliant colouration. Remain blessed!

HAVE YOU EVER DONE A PRAYER WALK BEFORE? TAKE A WALK REGULARLY, MORNING OR EVENING TO PRAY.

PROPHETIC PRAYERS:

• Oh Lord, equip me with the power I need to go through the remaining months of the year.
• Strengthen me oh Lord to mount up like eagle this year.
• This is my day of outstanding signs and wonders in Jesus name.
• Today shall end well for me, I shall encounter miracles that will call for testimonies in Jesus name.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:“PLACES DO NOT MAKE MEN, IT IS MEN THAT MAKE PLACES”

Memory Verse: “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing”. Genesis 12:2.

Can you think of a country having the most buoyant economy in the world? How do they arrive at this enviable economic status? It is their men who believe in that country that worked selflessly to build it. The most beautiful country in the world, probably having the most viable economy where almost everybody wants to go never started like that. It was built over time via collaborative efforts of patriotic men. If nations have the capacity of making men, beggars won’t be found everywhere. Nations do not make men, but God does by the hands of men. Also, nations do not change men, but men change nations. If our nation, will be great, it’s all in our hands.

If we will experience a new dimension of politics, technological innovations, it will be stirred up by the people living in it. If any nation fell from grace to grass in such a way that it became a laughing stock in the international community and vice-versa, do not look any further, ask from her citizens. No society can rise any higher than the willingness of her citizens to make it rise.[pullquote]Nations do not make men, but God does by the hands of men. However, it is possible for a society to experience a positive change. There must be men who will stand in the gap. I mean men who are ready to sacrifice. Men who will always think of what they can do for their country, not what their country would do for them. We need men like John Knox who will say to God, ‘give me Scotland or I die’. We need men like Martin Boss, who spent hours and days and often nights in lonely agonies of intercession. A good nation builder never thinks of where to run to if everything collapses. This is a wrong mindset.

Never say anything derogatory or cast aspersion on your country – confession is possession. Remember, some people built that place you want to run to. Why can’t you sit down, and liase with people of like-minds and brainstorm on what can be done to effect a change you desire. It begins with you, the Bible says, ‘And has made us kings and priests’ Revelation 1:6. It is either we reign or our nation ruins. Stand up now and do something. It is well!

PURPLE IS A ROYAL COLOUR. DO YOU HAVE ANY PURPLE CLOTHE AROUND? PUT IT ON AND FOR 5 MINUTES,
PRAY AND DECLARE YOUR KINGSHIP ON EARTH.

• I receive grace now to impart my country in Jesus name.
• Lord Jesus, bless us with selfless and visionary leaders in this nation.
• My country, rise up from your low estate; go forward in Jesus name.
• My footprint shall be seen by this generation and the one to come.
