When we hear the word meek, many times we think of someone who is weak, shy and reserved. The image is that meek people cannot stand up for themselves and everyone runs over them. No! Meekness is not weakness, it is strength under control. A meek person is like a wild horse that has been tamed. The horse is still strong, powerful and has as much speed as before it was tamed. Human nature tends to turn negative in difficult times. But the scripture tells us to do just the opposite”; ‘count it all joy when you fall into various trials’ James 1:2. You might ask: why must I be joyful in difficult and tough times. Does that really make any sense? Yes, it does! SET YOUR DAY RIGHT

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “VICTORY OR DEFEAT STARTS AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH DAY”

Memory Verse: “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things” Colossians 3:2.

When your mind is set right, then your day will be set right. When you get up in the morning, except your mind is rightly aligned or positioned, you may feel discouraged; you may feel guilty about your previous mistakes and so on. If you make the mistake of dwelling on those thoughts, you are prepared to have a gloomy day. As you begin each day in faith, anticipating something good, God tells the angels to go to work and to arrange things in your favour. He gives you surprises, lines up the right people and opens the right doors. But if you leave your mind in neutral, it allows different thoughts. Continue reading
